FAIRFIELD ORGANIZED OVER 50 YEARS AGO….
Fairfield Presbyterian Church was organized on May 23, 1955, and this beginning group of believers met at Myrtle Grove Elementary School, Pensacola, Florida until ground was broken for the new church in April of 1956 at 4901 Fairfield Drive, The Presbyterian Church in America came into being in 1973, and Fairfield became a part of this new denomination. In 1997, the congregation voted unanimously to proceed with an ambitious building program involving the relocation to 410 S. Fairfield Drive. The original church was sold and, once again, we met at Myrtle Grove Elementary School! In October 2000, our first pastor, Reverend David Hamilton, preached at our Dedication Service.
The Lord has richly blessed Fairfield! We have seen many come to Christ, and over 1,000 members have passed through our doors through the years. Many of these members have been military whom we have had the joy of knowing, growing them in the Lord, and then “sending” them to new duty stations where they share Christ with others!
