English is tricky — we get it! Some words sound the same, some look the same, and some just refuse to behave as expected. Our ESL ministry gives you a friendly place to learn, make mistakes, laugh about them, and connect with others in a welcoming community.

Our English classes are designed to teach students from other countries to learn to speak English or to improve their English-speaking skills. We offer basic, beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes. Please see below for additional information.

Learning English is easier when you’re surrounded by people who cheer you on! Our ESL groups give you a place to practice, laugh, and grow — and we’d love for you to feel right at home. If you’re curious about who leads the classes, when they meet, or what to expect, you can explore our team, calendar, and FAQs below.

Learn more about our mission and what you can expect when you visit us!

Who can enroll in the program?

Anyone who would like to improve their English!

Do I need to speak any English before joining?

No.

What levels of classes do you offer?

This program is designed for adult learners with an English proficiency level from basic to advanced (CEFR A1 – B2).

What is your program’s focus?

We teach English the way everyone learns their native language — by progressing from listening to speaking and then on to reading and writing. Our focus, however, is conversational English. The only way to learn how to speak English is to speak it!

How do I sign up for classes?

Come any Tuesday night during the school year at 6:00 pm and ask to register.

What is the registration process?

The first time you come, you will fill out the registration form and take an assessment to see which of our five classes is best for your English level.

Is there a cost to join the program?

Registration and classes are free. If you want to purchase a student workbook so that you can write in the book and take it home with you to study, it costs $35 (cash only). Students are not required to buy the workbook, but it is recommended.

Is there an enrollment deadline?

We have open enrollment throughout the school year. We do have limited seating capacity. If we reach capacity, we will start a waiting list.

What days and times are classes offered?

Classes meet on Tuesdays from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm from September to May.

Can I attend part‑time?

Yes.

Do you offer weekend classes?

We offer a Sunday school class that meets weekly at 9:30 am.

Can I repeat a level if I need more time?

Yes.

Do you offer childcare during classes?

Unfortunately, childcare is not available.
